About the Trainer

May Hui

Licensed Tourist Guide &
ACTA-Certified Adult Trainer

Licensed by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) as a Tourist Guide in 1980 and the holder of a B.Sc (Hons) in International Tourism and Hospitality Management, May Hui has experience in various aspects of tour guiding.

Her passion in heritage led her to attend more specialised training programmes, and she is today a docent at the museums/galleries, including the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Former Ford Factory, Harmony in Diversity Gallery, Indian Heritage Centre, Malay Heritage Centre, National Gallery Singapore and Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) Gallery.

May is also a volunteer guide at Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO), for which she conducts “Walking in the Footsteps of our Foremothers”.

Since 2002, May has contributed her time at the prisons as a volunteer after-care officer, with the Singapore After-Care Association. Befriending ex-offenders to help them get on their feet, May has twice received the Outstanding Volunteer Award in recognition of exemplary service rendered.
